The minor is for students not majoring in either the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE).

The minor in Robotics provides students with an interdisciplinary foundation in the design, analysis, and implementation of modern robotic systems. Open to students outside of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the program integrates core concepts in programming, computer systems, and control with specialized coursework in robotics principles and applications. Building on established courses and a dedicated robotics laboratory, the minor emphasizes hands-on learning, enabling students to develop practical solutions to real-world engineering challenges using robotic platforms and advanced technologies.

Through this program, students gain the skills to design and control intelligent systems while developing strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. The minor also promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, drawing connections across fields such as computer science, mechanical engineering, and data-driven technologies. Graduates are well-prepared to pursue opportunities in rapidly growing areas such as automation, manufacturing, healthcare, and autonomous systems, while also engaging thoughtfully with the broader societal and ethical implications of robotics.
